Shelby Gets Shots

My little sister is going on a mission in January and had to get some shots. My mom and I both went because we had nothing better to do! (Dan was out of town). My mom HATES to watch anyone get shots, especially her own children. So she kept herself occupied while the shots were taking place.

New Job!

So I used to work at Airborne Trampoline Arena in Draper. Bentley, yes the one from the Bachelorette is someone I have known very well since I was 17. He owns Airborne and asked me to come work for him in January. I loved working at Airborne, but there were a lot of things I didn't like. And to top it off, the ex boyfriend starting working there again, (Bentley's little brother....that's how I know Bentley.) so Dan and I decided to pull the plug and not work with my ex. I wasn't too upset about it.

However, I worried I wouldn't be able to find another job. Next semester, my last one, I have 16 credits and its a crazy schedule. I stared applying at retail store because I knew they would have the best flexibility. Dan and I both posted on Facebook that I was looking for a job and within 25 mins of posting it, Dan's friend called him with a job opportunity.

I now work at the headquarters for Simplicity Laser Hair Removal. Its in Lehi, so close to home and I am so excited about it. I work closely with the "Big Guys" of the company and I am so excited to learn about this industry and HAVE A JOB again! Thanks Dan for posting it and for getting me a job! Love you!!

Weekend Fun

On Friday, Lone Peak High School had their Semi-final football game. Dan's sister, Sarah, is on the varsity cheer squad so we went to watch her and to watch the fun football game. Then we went to Gateway and shopped a little. We got a gift card to buckle for our wedding so we went to use that. Then we were hungry so we went to Cafe Rio....we had a free meal, so that was awesome! Then I found a gift card to the movies in my wallet from when I graduated HIGH SCHOOL!! I still hadn't used it! So we went and saw Terror Heist. We liked it a lot! It was a good one.

 On Saturday, Dan and I both had the day off! That hasn't happened ever!! I used to work Saturdays, but not anymore!! Hallelujah! So I went with my sisters, mom, sisters-in-law, and mother-in-law to their cheer competition. That was fun. The girls did so well! I loved watching my sisters coach and my sister-in-laws preform! Good job girls! Then we went to the BYU football game. Yes, it was cold! But it wasnt that bad! Dan's sister, Anna, is a BYU cheerleader so we took her to get crepes after the game! We went to the same crepe place that catered our wedding, and it was the best! Roll Up Crepes is what the place is called. So yummy!!!

I had such a fun weekend hanging out with Dan and our families!

I love the weekends, I wished they lasted longer.

He Is Home??.....

So Dan got home from his business trip to Las Vegas about 2 hours ago and we got to hang out for about an hour before........

He         went          back        to         work! 

Now, don't get me wrong, I am so grateful that he loves his job and is such a diligent, hard working employee, but he just got home! Oh well, I guess that is what I signed up for when I married this responsible worker!

Missing Him....

Dan went to a SEO conference in Las Vegas on Monday and won't come back until tomorrow night. Its been a lonely 3 days, but its almost over! Yay! I have missed him so much!

Wedding Photos

I dont have the CD of the professional photographer's pictures of the day of, but I have some from his sister, Katie took, here photo blog here. She is an amazing photographer and I would recommend her to anyone. She loves what she does, and will spend all day with her clients. I felt so comfortable asking her to do other shots, and she also had lots of ideas. She is amazing!! And so fun to work with. Thanks Katie!

Honeymoon

Our wedding and honeymoon were incredible. I often cry to myself that my wedding is over. I am so sad that the day went by so fast and now its done. I am happy to be settled in to our new "home" but I miss the hype and excitement of the wedding day. I wish I would have enjoyed it a little more. I was so stressed and worried about who was doing and who wasn't doing what they were supposed to be doing.

But anyway, on our wedding night we stayed at the Grand America. That has been my dream and I was so thankful that Dan made that dream come true. Also, it was also my dream to check into the hotel in my wedding dress. So we did that too. The hotel wasn't as busy at 11:00 pm as I had hoped it would be. I wanted everyone to see me in my dress. I am very shallow apparently. But we checked in and then went to our awesome room on the 26th floor. It was overlooking Salt Lake City and it was breathtaking! We also got these chocolate covered strawberries that looked like tuxedos and a letter to "Mr and Mrs Richey." I loved it. Thanks babe for the great night....:)!!

For our honeymoon, we went to an All-Inclusive Resort in Cancun, Mexico call Barcelo. It was amazing! We left Saturday morning, EARLY....like 4:00 am! We were only in our hotel room for about 5 hours. It was tiring! But we got to Mexico and it was raining! Pouring! I was instantly upset, but it was already 3:30 and we would get to our hotel until about 5 anyway, so we weren't going to the beach that day. We got there and got our bags all taken are of and I think we went to go eat. All the food and drinks were included, so of course we we were going to take advantage of that! We got to our room and then I wanted to take a shower since I had hairspray gallore from the wedding day. So we got ready and went to eat.

Our honeymoon was filled with the beach, the pool, eating, eating, eating, hanging out, sleeping in, shows at night, formal dinners, and all the drinks we would hope for! We had so much fun and we feel so blessed that we were able to go on such a great vacation! Enjoy the pics! (Pic overload coming....)
